Thanks! I can see my DD(darling daughter) will make this tricky to stick to. We just went out and spent $25 on fruit, a salad packet and some cruskits for her to eat more healthily over the holidays. Now while I don't mind doing this, she then demands junk food because "there is nothing to eat,". We fought in the car on the way home and she demanded to be taken to the shops to buy new clothes. I've come home and said a firm, "No." Not until we go through her entire clothes and see what still fits her and such and take a list to the shops. Have just told her that im buying my clothes either on discount this year or from the op shop so if I can do that, she can at least go through her clothes that she chose and wear what she's got. I am only going to buy her this year what she truly needs..

Now, I haven't mentioned that with her Autism comes lots of behaviours, so the above kind of antics I deal with practically daily, plus more.. It's a wonder I'm still sane some days! lol

WELCOME to SA. Our Given that the clothes dryer is the most expensive appliance to operate, my first cost cut attempt will be to hang garments on hangers to dry on an already existing, in place wall pull-out clothes line.

Am I the only one making laundry detergent? It is cheaper but I've been using it because it does such a terrific job in the washer.

Having read the next post, you and DD might like the process for clothes. She asks each of us to gather up all our clothes, every single garment, from every closet, drawer, shelf, cabinet for review in one place. It was truly an eye opening experience.

I'm not going to do that, but then again I'm happy to op shop so I shouldn't have to.. but she can, yes.

As you can see, my computer is infuriating. I outline the Marie Kondo's ...life changing magic of tidying up,' different viewpoint. It is very popular on You Tube if not popular in OZ
